Oh my gosh, y’all. I hope everyone is hanging in there. I started out on this making and designing adventure back in February. That seems like a lifetime ago. When the pandemic hit, I just could not find the energy to do much of anything. I still crocheted. I still made things. I was just so unfocused.
The closer we get to election day in the US, the more motivated I feel. The loss of RBG, in particular, got my gears moving faster than they have in months. Initially, I felt a sense of despair. Later, I felt an enormous sense of loss. Now, I mostly feel resolved to not be passive. I look forward to a better future, because we have to have a better future. The very first pattern I designed for sale was made with that in mind.

I am incredibly pleased and proud to present the We Dissent Collar, inspired by the incredible life and career of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The pattern has been available on both Ravelry and Etsy for some time now, and ever since its publication, it has been raising funds for a cause that is near and dear to my heart. Through November 3, 2020, 100% of the proceeds of this pattern will be going to The Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES). So, check that out and please, feel free to share the links to people who might be able to help out! The clock is ticking, Election Day is fast approaching, and every little bit helps.
